It was founded in 2016 by a seasoned educationist who served with the Ghana Education Service for over four decades. She held the position of Director of Education and also served as the Guidance and Counselling Coordinator for the Ablekuma Central District. She is Madam Matilda Acheampong.

Pupils are required to select a character from a storybook or the Bible and attend school dressed in costume as that character.
Pupils will prepare traditional dishes according to their class groups as part of the activity.
